Leny Yoro sends message after Thierry Henry blasts Manchester United performance

Leny Yoro has sent a message to Manchester United supporters in the wake of the criticism he receive from Thierry Henry following the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday.

The former Arsenal, Barcelona and France striker highlighte Yoro’s body language in the aftermath of Harvey Barnes’ second goal at St James’ Park which put Newcastle 3-1 ahead.
Yoro, who joine United for an initial £52 million fee last summer, was seen looking at the assistant referee on the far side of the pitch after Barnes had put the ball in the net, despite there being no chance of the Newcastle midfielder being in an offside position.
‘I invite everyone to stay on Leny Yoro. First and foremost, he’s going to try to play for offside,’ Henry said during his analysis of the goal.
‘It’s a great finish from Barnes but please stay on Yoro and what he’s asking for… pause.
‘I don’t know what he’s looking at. What are you looking at? Are you looking at the linesman to try to see if he’s going to bail you out? I don’t know.
‘I don’t know if he thought there was an offside, I don’t know. We all know it’s a goal! What are you looking at?! I actually don’t know. I’ve never seen that before.’
In a message to supporters on Instagram on Tuesday night, Yoro poste a picture of himself looking dejecte during the Newcastle defeat.
The image also include a caption in French which read: ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but always ask God for what you need. And when you pray, ask for it with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6.’
Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand insists he has seen signs of improvement from Yoro following his arrival from Lille last July.
‘It was a tough start for him but young players need to come into a team, if they’re going to do well, with players around them and look to when it’s not going well and draw confidence from,’ Ferdinand said on his after United’s defeat to Newcastle, which has left Ruben Amorim’s side 14th in the Premier League.
